Lobster Preparation

Filet Mignon

Method

Lobster Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Lobster

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). In a small bowl, mix honey, sesame oil, soy sauce, and sesame seeds together. Place the lobster tails on a baking sheet and brush them generously with the honey mixture.

  2. 2

    Bake the Lobster

Bake the lobster in the oven for about 15-20 minutes or until the meat is opaque and cooked through. Optionally, garnish with chopped green onions before serving.

Vegetable Topping

  1. 3

    Prepare the Vegetables

Peel the cucumber and slice it into thin rounds. Cut the avocado in half, remove the pit, and scoop out the flesh. Cut the avocado into thin slices and drizzle with lime juice to prevent browning. Optionally, sprinkle with salt.

Filet Mignon

  1. 4

    Cook the Steaks

Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Season the filet mignon steaks with salt and black pepper. Once the oil is hot, add the steaks and sear for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare, or cook to your desired doneness.

  2. 5

    Rest the Steaks

Remove the steaks from the skillet and let them rest for about 5 minutes before slicing.

Assembly

  1. 6

    Assemble the Dish

On a serving plate, place a layer of cucumber slices, followed by avocado slices. Top with the baked honey sesame lobster. Finally, slice the rested filet mignon and place on top of the lobster. Serve immediately.
