Ginger Soy

Method

Spiced Ahi

  1. 1

    Prepare the Ahi Tuna

Rub the Ahi tuna steaks with olive oil, salt, and black pepper on both sides. Then, coat with furikake seasoning evenly.

  2. 2

    Grill the Ahi

Preheat the grill to medium-high heat. Place the seasoned Ahi tuna steaks on the grill and cook for about 3-4 minutes on each side for medium-rare, or until desired doneness. Remove from grill and let rest.

Furikake Rice

  1. 3

    Cook the Rice

Rinse the jasmine rice under cold water until the water runs clear. In a medium saucepan, combine the rinsed rice and water. Bring to a boil over high heat, then reduce to low, cover, and simmer for about 15 minutes until the rice is cooked and water is absorbed.

  2. 4

    Add Seasoning

Remove the saucepan from heat and let it sit covered for an additional 5 minutes. Fluff the rice with a fork, then stir in the furikake seasoning and sesame oil. Mix well to combine.

Grilled Bok Choy

  1. 5

    Prepare the Bok Choy

Slice each head of bok choy in half lengthwise. Brush with olive oil and season with salt and black pepper.

  2. 6

    Grill the Bok Choy

Place the bok choy cut-side down on the grill. Grill for about 4-5 minutes until lightly charred and tender. Remove from grill.

Wasabi Cream

  1. 7

    Make the Wasabi Cream

In a small bowl, combine sour cream, wasabi paste, and lemon juice. Stir until smooth and well combined. Taste and adjust wasabi if necessary.

Ginger Soy

  1. 8

    Prepare the Ginger Soy Sauce

In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, grated ginger, and honey until well combined. Set aside for serving.
