Eggs

Pickled Red Onion

Fried Capers

Horseradish Cream Cheese

Bagel Crisps

Method

Egg Preparation

  1. 1

    Hard Boil the Eggs

Place the eggs in a pot and cover them with water. Bring to a boil over medium heat. Once boiling, cover the pot, remove it from heat, and let sit for 12 minutes. After 12 minutes, transfer the eggs to an ice bath to cool for 5 minutes. Peel and set aside.

Pickled Red Onion

  1. 2

    Pickle the Onions

Slice the red onion thinly and place it in a jar. In a small saucepan, combine apple cider vinegar, water, sugar, and salt. Bring to a simmer, stirring until sugar dissolves. Pour the hot mixture over the onions in the jar. Let cool, then refrigerate for at least 1 hour before using.

Fried Capers

  1. 3

    Fry the Capers

Drain the capers and pat them dry with a paper towel. In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the capers and fry until they are crispy, about 2-3 minutes. Use a slotted spoon to transfer the fried capers to a paper towel-lined plate and set aside.

Horseradish Cream Cheese

  1. 4

    Prepare the Cream Cheese

In a bowl, combine cream cheese and prepared horseradish. Mix until smooth. Season with salt and black pepper to taste. Set aside.

Bagel Crisps

  1. 5

    Make Bagel Crisps

Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Slice the bagels into thin rounds. Brush each side with olive oil and sprinkle with garlic powder and salt. Arrange on a baking sheet and bake for 10-12 minutes or until golden and crispy, flipping halfway through.
