Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Marinate the Shrimp

In a large mixing bowl, combine the olive oil, minced garlic, lemon juice, paprika, cayenne pepper, salt, and black pepper. Whisk the ingredients together until well blended.

  2. 2

    Add Shrimp to Marinade

Add the peeled and deveined jumbo shrimp to the marinade. Toss the shrimp in the marinade until they are evenly coated. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes, or up to 2 hours for more flavor.

Grilling

  1. 3

    Preheat the Grill

Preheat your grill to medium-high heat (about 400°F or 200°C).

  2. 4

    Skewer the Shrimp

If using wooden skewers, soak them in water for 30 minutes to prevent burning. Thread the marinated shrimp onto the skewers, leaving a little space between each shrimp for even cooking.

  3. 5

    Grill the Shrimp

Place the skewered shrimp on the preheated grill. Grill for about 2-3 minutes on each side, or until the shrimp are pink and opaque. Be careful not to overcook them, as they can become tough.

  4. 6

    Garnish and Serve

Once cooked, remove the shrimp from the grill and sprinkle with chopped fresh parsley. Serve hot with lemon wedges on the side.
