Escargot Preparation

Method

Escargot Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Escargot

In a small bowl, mix the softened butter, minced garlic, chopped parsley, salt, and black pepper. Place the escargot in a baking dish, and spoon the garlic butter mixture evenly over them.

Spinach Mixture

  1. 2

    Prepare the Spinach

In a skillet over medium heat, add the chopped spinach and cook until wilted, about 2-3 minutes. Remove from heat and let cool slightly. In a mixing bowl, combine the wilted spinach with softened cream cheese, Parmesan cheese, and nutmeg. Mix well until everything is evenly incorporated.

Assembly and Baking

  1. 3

    Assemble the Dish

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Take the prepared escargot and place a spoonful of the spinach mixture on top of each escargot. Place the sliced French bread or baguette on a baking sheet.

  2. 4

    Bake

Sprinkle the additional Parmesan cheese over the top of the spinach-covered escargot. Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until the cheese is golden and bubbly.

  3. 5

    Serve

Remove from oven and let cool for a few minutes. Serve warm, preferably with the sliced bread to soak up the delicious juices.
