Method

Steak Preparation

  1. 1

    Season the Steak

Sprinkle the dry aged steak on both sides with salt and black pepper. Let it sit at room temperature for about 30 minutes to enhance the flavor.

  2. 2

    Cook the Steak

Preheat a grill or skillet over high heat. Sear the steak for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare, or until your preferred doneness is achieved. Let the steak rest for 10 minutes before slicing it thinly against the grain.

Caramelized Onions

  1. 3

    Slice the Onions

Thinly slice the onions into rings.

  2. 4

    Cook the Onions

In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the sliced onions and sprinkle with salt. Cook for about 20-30 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the onions are golden brown and caramelized.

Five Cheese Blend

  1. 5

    Prepare the Cheese

In a mixing bowl, combine the mozzarella, cheddar, parmesan, gorgonzola, and provolone cheeses. Set aside for assembly.

Horseradish Cream

  1. 6

    Mix the Cream

In a small bowl, combine the sour cream, prepared horseradish, and lemon juice. Stir until well blended and set aside.

Fries Preparation

  1. 7

    Cook the Fries

Prepare the frozen French fries according to package instructions. Once cooked, sprinkle with salt to taste.

Assemble the Sandwich

  1. 8

    Slice the Baguette

Cut the baguette in half lengthwise and toast it lightly if desired.

  2. 9

    Layer the Ingredients

On the bottom half of the baguette, layer the sliced steak, caramelized onions, and the five cheese blend. Drizzle with horseradish cream and place the top half of the baguette on.

  3. 10

    Serve

Cut the sandwich into portions and serve with a side of French fries.
