Method

Steak Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Steak

Remove the ribeye steaks from the refrigerator and let them sit at room temperature for about 30 minutes before cooking.

  2. 2

    Season the Steak

Rub the steaks with olive oil, ensuring they are evenly coated. Sprinkle salt, black pepper, and garlic powder on both sides of the steak for flavor.

  3. 3

    Preheat the Grill

Preheat your grill to high heat (about 450°F or 232°C). If using a skillet, heat a cast-iron skillet over medium-high heat.

  4. 4

    Cook the Steak

Place the steaks on the grill or in the skillet. Cook for about 4-6 minutes on each side for medium-rare, depending on the thickness of the steak.

  5. 5

    Add Rosemary

During the last minute of cooking, add the fresh rosemary sprigs to the grill or skillet. This will infuse the steak with a wonderful aroma.

  6. 6

    Rest the Steak

Remove the steaks from the grill or skillet and let them rest for 5-10 minutes before slicing. This will help retain the juices.

Oyster Preparation

  1. 7

    Shuck the Oysters

Carefully shuck the oysters using an oyster knife. Ensure to keep the oyster liquor in the shell.

  2. 8

    Serve the Oysters

Place the shucked oysters on a serving platter with crushed ice. Serve with lemon wedges, hot sauce, and mignonette sauce on the side.
