Main Ingredients

Spicy Cocktail Sauce

Method

Preparing the Shrimp

  1. 1

    Clean the Shrimp

Rinse the jumbo shrimp under cold water and remove the shells, leaving the tails intact. Devein the shrimp by making a shallow cut along the back and removing the dark vein.

  2. 2

    Boil the Shrimp

In a large pot, bring salted water to a boil. Add the cleaned shrimp and cook for 2-3 minutes or until they turn pink and opaque. Do not overcook.

  3. 3

    Chill the Shrimp

Remove the shrimp from the pot and transfer them to a bowl of ice water to stop the cooking process. Let them chill for about 5 minutes.

  4. 4

    Drain and Dry

Once chilled, drain the shrimp and pat them dry with paper towels. Set aside.

Making the Spicy Cocktail Sauce

  1. 5

    Combine Ingredients

In a medium bowl, combine ketchup, horseradish, lemon juice, hot sauce, and Worcestershire sauce.

  2. 6

    Season to Taste

Add salt and black pepper to the mixture according to your taste preferences. Stir well to combine.

  3. 7

    Refrigerate

Cover the cocktail sauce and refrigerate for at least 15 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.

Serving

  1. 8

    Plate the Shrimp

Arrange the chilled shrimp on a serving platter.

  2. 9

    Serve with Sauce

Serve the shrimp with the spicy cocktail sauce on the side for dipping.
