Preparation
- 1
Season the Ribeye
In a small bowl, mix together the kosher salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Rub the mixture evenly over both sides of the ribeye steak. Drizzle with olive oil and rub it in to ensure even coverage. Allow the steak to sit at room temperature for about 30 minutes to absorb the flavors.

Check for Doneness
Use an instant-read meat thermometer to check the internal temperature. For medium-rare, it should read 130-135°F (54-57°C). Adjust grilling time as necessary for your desired level of doneness.
Resting and Serving
- 5
Rest the Steak
Remove the ribeye from the grill and let it rest on a cutting board for at least 5 minutes. This allows the juices to redistribute within the meat.
- 6
Slice and Serve
After resting, slice the steak against the grain and serve immediately. Enjoy your perfectly charbroiled ribeye!
