Omelet Ingredients

Method

Cooking Directions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Filling

In a skillet over medium heat, melt 1 tablespoon of butter. Add the diced onion and green bell pepper, and sauté until they are tender, about 3-4 minutes. Add the diced ham and cook for an additional 2 minutes. Season with salt and black pepper. Remove the mixture from the skillet and set aside.

  2. 2

    Whisk the Eggs

In a bowl, whisk together the eggs, salt, and black pepper until well combined.

  3. 3

    Cook the Omelet

In the same skillet, melt the remaining tablespoon of butter over medium heat. Pour in the egg mixture and cook until the edges start to set, about 2-3 minutes.

  4. 4

    Add Filling

Once the edges are set, add the ham, onion, and green pepper mixture evenly across one half of the omelet. Sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese on top.

  5. 5

    Fold and Finish

Carefully fold the other half of the omelet over the filling. Cook for another 1-2 minutes until the cheese is melted and the omelet is cooked through. Slide the omelet onto a plate and serve immediately.
