Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Steak

Take the New York Strip steak out of the refrigerator and let it sit at room temperature for about 30 minutes before cooking. This helps the steak to cook evenly.

  2. 2

    Season the Steak

Rub the steak with olive oil, then season both sides generously with salt and black pepper. Add minced garlic and chopped rosemary on both sides.

  3. 3

    Preheat the Grill or Pan

Preheat your grill or cast iron skillet over high heat for about 5 minutes until very hot.

  4. 4

    Cook the Steak

Place the steak on the hot grill or skillet. Cook for about 4-5 minutes on one side without moving it. Flip the steak and cook for another 4-5 minutes for medium-rare, adjusting time for desired doneness.

  5. 5

    Rest the Steak

Remove the steak from the heat and let it rest on a cutting board for about 5-10 minutes. This allows the juices to redistribute.

  6. 6

    Serve

Slice against the grain and serve hot. Enjoy your New York Strip!
