Method

Prepare the Meat

  1. 1

    Cooking the Meat

Choose one of the meat options: pulled pork, smoked turkey, or smoked rope sausage. If desired, you can substitute with black angus brisket or burnt ends for an additional charge. Cook the meat in a smoker or slow cooker until tender. For pulled pork, this usually takes about 8-10 hours at 225°F. For the smoked turkey, aim for 4-6 hours at the same temperature. Smoked rope sausage should be cooked until heated through, about 30-40 minutes.

Cook the Fries

  1. 2

    Frying the Fries

While the meat is cooking, prepare the frozen French fries according to package instructions. This usually involves frying in hot oil until golden brown and crispy, typically around 5-7 minutes.

Assemble the Sandwich

  1. 3

    Building the Sandwich

Once the meat is cooked and the fries are ready, take the buns and slice them open. Pile a generous amount of your chosen meat onto the bottom half of each bun. Top with your choice of Mini Nice Fixin’ such as pickles, coleslaw, and BBQ sauce. Place the top half of the bun over the toppings to complete the sandwich.

Serve

  1. 4

    Serving the Dish

Serve the assembled sandwiches with a generous handful of fries on the side. Enjoy your smoked meat on a bun with your Mini Nice Fixin’!
