Mint Infused Sour Mix
Shoalwater Bay Margarita
Method
Mint Infused Sour Mix
- 1
Prepare the Mint Infusion
In a small saucepan, combine 1 cup of water and 1 cup of granulated sugar. Heat over medium heat, stirring until the sugar dissolves completely.
- 2
Add Mint
Once the sugar is dissolved, remove the saucepan from heat and add 1 cup of fresh mint leaves. Stir gently to combine.
- 3
Steep
Allow the mixture to steep for about 30 minutes to infuse the mint flavor.
- 4
Strain
After steeping, strain the mixture through a fine mesh sieve to remove the mint leaves. You should be left with a mint syrup.
- 5
Mix with Lime Juice
In a separate bowl, combine the mint syrup with 1 cup of fresh lime juice. Mix well and set aside. This will be your mint infused sour mix.
