Cooking the Pasta

    Boil the Pasta

    In a large pot, bring salted water to a boil. Add 2 cups of pasta and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Once cooked, drain and set aside.

Preparing the Sauce

    Sauté the Garlic

    In a large skillet, heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil over medium heat. Add 2 minced garlic cloves and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.

    Cook the Tomatoes

    Add 1 cup of halved cherry tomatoes to the skillet and cook for another 3-4 minutes until they start to soften.

    Add the Shrimp

    Stir in 1 pound of peeled and deveined shrimp into the skillet. Cook for 3-5 minutes until the shrimp turn pink and are cooked through.

    Season the Sauce

    Add 1 teaspoon of salt, 1 teaspoon of black pepper, and 1 teaspoon of red pepper flakes to the skillet. Stir well to combine all the ingredients.

    Finish with Lemon Juice

    Drizzle 2 tablespoons of lemon juice over the mixture and stir in 1 cup of chopped fresh basil. Combine well.

Combining and Serving

    Combine Pasta and Sauce

    Add the drained pasta to the skillet with the shrimp and sauce. Toss everything together until the pasta is evenly coated.
