Tortilla Chips with Queso Oaxaca and Crema
Method
Preparation Instructions
- 1
Prepare the Tortilla Chips
Begin by cutting the corn tortillas into triangles. You can stack a few tortillas at a time for efficiency.
- 2
Fry the Tortilla Chips
In a large pot, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat. Once hot, carefully add the tortilla triangles in batches, making sure not to overcrowd the pot. Fry them for about 2-3 minutes or until they turn golden brown and crispy. Use a slotted spoon to remove the chips and drain them on a paper towel-lined plate. Season with salt to taste.
- 3
Melt the Queso Oaxaca
In a small saucepan over low heat, add the queso Oaxaca cheese and stir occasionally until melted and smooth. This should take about 5-7 minutes. Remove from heat once fully melted.

- 5
Assemble the Dish
On a serving platter, arrange the tortilla chips. Drizzle the melted queso Oaxaca over the chips, followed by dollops of crema. Top with slices of radish, red onion, and a sprinkle of fresh cilantro.
- 6
Serve
Serve immediately while the chips are warm and crispy. Enjoy as a delicious appetizer or snack!
