Wine Ingredients

Method

Wine Making Process

  1. 1

    Harvesting Grapes

Select and harvest ripe Zinfandel grapes. Ensure that they are free from any rot or damage.

  2. 2

    Crushing Grapes

Crush the harvested grapes to release their juice. You can use a grape crusher or do this manually.

  3. 3

    Fermentation Preparation

In a clean fermentation vessel, pour the crushed grapes along with their juice. Add 5 liters of water to dilute the mixture.

  4. 4

    Adding Sugar

Dissolve 1 kg of sugar in a small amount of warm water and add to the grape mixture to increase the alcohol content.

  5. 5

    Adding Yeast

Sprinkle 10 g of wine yeast over the mixture. Stir gently to combine.

  6. 6

    Fermentation

Cover the fermentation vessel with a clean cloth. Allow the mixture to ferment at room temperature for about 7-14 days. Stir daily.

  7. 7

    Racking

Once fermentation is complete, siphon the wine into another clean vessel, leaving sediment behind.

  8. 8

    Adding Oak Chips

Add 100 g of oak chips to the wine to enhance flavor. Let it sit for an additional 2-3 weeks.

  9. 9

    Adding Sulfur Dioxide (optional)

If desired, add 5 g of sulfur dioxide to stabilize the wine and prevent oxidation.

  10. 10

    Bottling

After aging, siphon the wine into clean bottles, leaving a small amount of space at the top. Seal with corks.

  11. 11

    Aging

Store the bottles in a cool, dark place for at least 6 months to allow the flavors to develop.
