Marinated Peppers

Serving

Method

Marinated Peppers

  1. 1

    Prepare the Peppers

Roast the red bell peppers over an open flame or in the oven until the skin is charred. Let them cool, then peel off the skin, remove the seeds, and slice them into strips.

  2. 2

    Marinate the Peppers

In a bowl, combine the olive oil, red wine vinegar, minced garlic, thyme leaves, salt, and black pepper. Add the roasted pepper strips and toss to coat. Let marinate for at least 30 minutes.

Chickpea Beignet

  1. 3

    Make the Batter

In a mixing bowl, combine chickpea flour, water, baking powder, salt, and cumin powder. Mix until smooth and let rest for 15 minutes.

  2. 4

    Fry the Beignets

Heat vegetable oil in a deep pan over medium heat. Once hot, drop spoonfuls of the batter into the oil and fry until golden brown on all sides. Remove and drain on a paper towel.

Serving

  1. 5

    Plate the Dish

Arrange the marinated peppers on a serving plate, add the fried chickpea beignets, and place the burrata cheese in the center. Serve with lemon wedges on the side.
