Method
Cocktail
- 1
Chill glass
Place a rocks glass or coupe in the freezer for a few minutes or fill with ice water while you prepare the cocktail to chill it.
- 2
Combine ingredients
Add 2 oz Bombay Sapphire gin, 1 oz Luxardo Bianco, 1 oz white chocolate liqueur, 2 dashes orange bitters and 0.25 oz simple syrup (optional) into a mixing glass or cocktail shaker.
- 3
Add ice and stir
Fill the mixing glass with ice (about 1 cup). Stir gently for 20–30 seconds until well chilled and slightly diluted. If you prefer a slightly frothier texture, give a 5–7 second gentle shake instead, then strain.
- 4
Prepare serving glass
Discard ice or water from the chilled serving glass and add 3 fresh ice cubes (or serve neat in a chilled coupe if preferred).
- 5
Strain and serve
Double-strain the cocktail from the mixing glass into the prepared serving glass over the fresh ice cubes (or neat into the chilled coupe).
Garnish
- 6
Express oils from the orange twist over the surface of the cocktail by holding the twist over the drink and pinching to release the oils, then rub the rim with the twist and drop it into the glass.
- 7
Lightly grate or sprinkle about 1 tsp white chocolate shavings over the top of the drink for aroma and a visual cue of the white chocolate element. Serve immediately.
