Prepare the Coffee
Brew the espresso coffee and let it cool. If using, mix in the coffee liqueur.

Mix the Mascarpone Mixture
In a mixing bowl, combine mascarpone cheese, sugar, and vanilla extract. Whip until smooth and creamy.

Whip the Heavy Cream
In another bowl, whip the heavy cream until soft peaks form. Gently fold the whipped cream into the mascarpone mixture until well combined.

Soak the Ladyfingers
Quickly dip each ladyfinger into the cooled coffee mixture, ensuring they are soaked but not soggy.

Layer the Tiramisu
In a rectangular dish, place a layer of soaked ladyfingers at the bottom. Spread half of the mascarpone mixture over the ladyfingers.

Repeat the Layers
Add another layer of soaked ladyfingers followed by the remaining mascarpone mixture.

Chill
Cover the dish with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, ideally overnight.

Before serving, dust the top with cocoa powder using a fine sieve. Cut into squares and enjoy!
