Preparation

1. Combine the Base Wines

In a large mixing pitcher, pour in 750 ml of Chardonnay and 750 ml of Pinot Noir. Stir gently to combine the two wines.

2. Add Flavor Enhancements

To the wine mixture, add 50 ml of elderflower liqueur, 30 ml of fresh lemon juice, and 1 tablespoon of honey. Stir until the honey is fully dissolved.

3. Muddle the Mint

In a separate small bowl, add 10 fresh mint leaves. Use a muddler or the back of a spoon to gently crush the mint leaves to release their essential oils.

4. Combine Mint with Wine

Add the muddled mint leaves to the wine mixture and stir gently to incorporate.

Serving

5. Prepare Glasses

Fill wine glasses with ice cubes to chill them while preparing the drink.

6. Strain and Pour

Using a fine mesh strainer, strain the wine mixture into the prepared wine glasses, discarding the mint leaves.

7. Garnish

Top each glass with a sprinkle of lemon zest (1 tsp per glass) and place 1 edible flower on each drink for an elegant finish.

8. Serve

Serve immediately and enjoy your refreshing Etude Carneros wine cocktail.
