Mushroom Preparation

Method

Mushroom Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Mushrooms

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Gently clean the mushrooms with a damp paper towel to remove any dirt. Carefully remove the stems from the mushrooms, setting the caps aside and finely chopping the stems.

  2. 2

    Sauté the Mushroom Stems

In a skillet over medium heat, add 2 tablespoons of olive oil. Once hot, add the finely chopped mushroom stems and sauté for 4-5 minutes until softened.

Stuffing Mixture

  1. 3

    Mix the Filling

In a large bowl, combine the sautéed mushroom stems, minced garlic, chopped parsley, softened cream cheese, grated Parmesan cheese, salt, black pepper, and dried oregano. Mix well until all ingredients are fully combined.

  2. 4

    Stuff the Mushrooms

Using a spoon, generously fill each mushroom cap with the stuffing mixture, packing it in slightly.

Baking

  1. 5

    Bake the Stuffed Mushrooms

Place the stuffed mushrooms on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the mushrooms are tender and the tops are golden brown.

  2. 6

    Serve

Remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes before serving. Enjoy your delicious stuffed mushrooms!
