For the Spicy Ahi Tuna
For the Crispy Wontons
Method
Prepare the Spicy Ahi Tuna
- 1
Marinate the Ahi Tuna
In a mixing bowl, combine soy sauce, sesame oil, and sriracha sauce. Stir well to mix. Cut the Ahi tuna steak into small cubes (about 1/2 inch). Add the tuna cubes to the marinade. Season with salt and black pepper to taste. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.
- 2
Prepare the Scallions
While the tuna is marinating, chop the green onions (scallions) finely. Set aside for garnish.
- 3
Toast the Sesame Seeds
In a small pan over medium heat, toast the sesame seeds until golden and fragrant, about 2-3 minutes. Remove from heat and let cool.
Prepare the Crispy Wontons
- 4
Heat the Oil
In a deep frying pan or a pot, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C).
- 5
Fry the Wontons
Carefully place the wonton wrappers into the hot oil, a few at a time, and fry until they are golden brown and crispy, about 1-2 minutes. Use a slotted spoon to remove the crispy wontons and drain on paper towels.

- 6
Serve the Dish
Once the Ahi tuna has marinated, remove it from the refrigerator. In a serving bowl or plate, arrange the marinated tuna. Top with chopped scallions and sprinkle with toasted sesame seeds. Serve alongside the crispy wontons for dipping.
