Cake Preparation
- 1
Preheat the Oven
Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).

Melt Chocolate and Butter
In a microwave-safe bowl, combine the semisweet chocolate and unsalted butter. Heat in the microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring in between, until fully melted and smooth.

Mix Ingredients
In a separate bowl, whisk together granulated sugar, large eggs, large egg yolks, and vanilla extract until well combined and slightly frothy.
- 4
Combine Mixtures
Slowly pour the melted chocolate mixture into the egg mixture, stirring continuously to prevent the eggs from cooking.
- 5
Add Dry Ingredients
Gently fold in the all-purpose flour and a pinch of salt until just combined. Avoid overmixing.

- 7
Fill Ramekins
Divide the batter evenly among the prepared ramekins, filling each about 3/4 full.
- 8
Bake
Bake in the preheated oven for 12-14 minutes, or until the edges are firm but the center is still soft.
- 9
Cool Slightly
Remove from the oven and let cool for 1 minute before inverting each ramekin onto a plate.
