Omelet Ingredients

Method

Omelet Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Ingredients

Dice the ham, bell peppers, and onion into small, even pieces to ensure they cook evenly.

  2. 2

    Whisk the Eggs

In a large bowl, crack the eggs and whisk them together until the yolks and whites are fully combined. Add salt and black pepper to taste.

  3. 3

    Cook the Vegetables

In a non-stick skillet, heat 1 tablespoon of butter over medium heat. Once melted, add the diced onion and bell peppers. Sauté for about 3-4 minutes until they are tender.

  4. 4

    Add the Ham

Stir in the diced ham and continue to cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until the ham is heated through.

  5. 5

    Combine with Eggs

Pour the whisked eggs over the sautéed vegetables and ham in the skillet. Gently stir to distribute the mixture evenly.

  6. 6

    Cook the Omelet

Allow the omelet to cook undisturbed for about 3-4 minutes until the edges start to set. Use a spatula to lift the edges and allow uncooked egg to flow underneath.

  7. 7

    Add the Cheese

Once the eggs are mostly set but still slightly runny on top, sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese evenly over the omelet.

  8. 8

    Fold and Serve

Carefully fold the omelet in half and let it cook for another minute to allow the cheese to melt. Slide the omelet onto a plate and serve hot.
