Mix Dry Ingredients
In a large bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking powder, ground cinnamon, salt, and sugar until well combined.

Combine Mixtures
Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined. Gently fold in the chopped pecans.

Preheat Waffle Iron
Preheat your waffle iron according to manufacturer instructions.

Cook Waffles
Pour the batter into the preheated waffle iron and cook until golden brown and crispy. Repeat with remaining batter.
Crispy Chicken

Marinate Chicken
Place the chicken thighs in a bowl and cover with buttermilk. Let marinate in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour, or overnight for best results.

Prepare Coating
In a separate bowl, combine flour, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper.

Coat Chicken
Remove chicken from buttermilk, allowing excess to drip off. Dredge each piece in the flour mixture until fully coated.

In a large skillet or deep fryer, heat vegetable oil over medium-high heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C).

Carefully add the coated chicken pieces to the hot oil and fry for about 6-8 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and cooked through. Drain on paper towels.

In a mixing bowl, soften the unsalted butter at room temperature until creamy.

Add powdered sugar and vanilla extract to the bowl and beat with a hand mixer or stand mixer until fluffy and well combined.
Bourbon Maple Syrup

Combine Syrup Ingredients
In a small saucepan, combine the pure maple syrup and bourbon. Heat over low heat, stirring gently until warmed through.
