Method

Omelet Preparation

  1. 1

    Beat the Eggs

In a medium bowl, crack 3 whole eggs. Add 0.5 tsp of salt and 0.25 tsp of black pepper. Whisk together until well combined and slightly frothy.

  2. 2

    Prepare the Pan

Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat and add 1 tbsp of butter. Allow the butter to melt and coat the bottom of the pan.

  3. 3

    Cook the Eggs

Pour the beaten eggs into the skillet. Let them cook undisturbed for 1-2 minutes until the edges start to set.

Adding Cheese and Vegetables

  1. 4

    Choose Your Cheese

Select your preferred cheese from the options (Cheddar, Feta, or Mozzarella) and sprinkle 0.5 cups of it evenly over one half of the omelet.

  2. 5

    Add Vegetables

Chop your choice of vegetables (Bell Pepper, Onion, Spinach, Tomato, and Mushrooms) and add them on top of the cheese. Use about 0.25 to 0.5 cups of vegetables depending on your preference.

  3. 6

    Fold and Finish Cooking

Once the eggs are mostly set, fold the omelet in half over the filling. Cook for an additional 1-2 minutes until the cheese is melted and the omelet is cooked through.

Serving

  1. 7

    Plate the Omelet

Carefully slide the omelet onto a plate. You can garnish with additional herbs or serve with toast if desired.
