Preparing the Coffee Mixture

Make the Coffee Mixture
In a shallow dish, combine the brewed espresso coffee and coffee liqueur. Set aside to cool.
Making the Mascarpone Mixture

Whisk Egg Yolks
In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the egg yolks and granulated sugar until the mixture is pale and creamy.

Add Mascarpone
Gently fold in the mascarpone cheese into the egg yolk mixture until smooth.

Whip the Cream
In a separate bowl, whip the heavy cream and vanilla extract until stiff peaks form.

Combine Mixtures
Gently fold the whipped cream into the mascarpone mixture until fully combined.
Assembling the Tiramisu

Dip Ladyfingers
Quickly dip each ladyfinger into the coffee mixture, ensuring they are soaked but not soggy.

Layer the Ingredients
In a 9x13 inch dish, layer half of the dipped ladyfingers on the bottom, followed by half of the mascarpone mixture.

Repeat the process with the remaining ladyfingers and mascarpone mixture.
Chilling and Serving

Cover the dish with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight.

Before serving, dust the top with cocoa powder and sprinkle with chocolate shavings if desired.
