Method

Dough Preparation

  1. 1

    Activate Yeast

In a small bowl, combine warm water, sugar, and active dry yeast. Let it sit for about 5-10 minutes until it becomes frothy.

  2. 2

    Mix Dry Ingredients

In a large mixing bowl, whisk together all-purpose flour and salt.

  3. 3

    Combine Ingredients

Make a well in the center of the flour mixture, then add the frothy yeast mixture and olive oil. Stir until a dough forms.

  4. 4

    Knead the Dough

Turn the dough onto a floured surface and knead for about 5-7 minutes until smooth and elastic.

  5. 5

    Let Dough Rise

Place the kneaded dough in a greased bowl, cover it with a damp cloth, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour or until doubled in size.

Assembling the Pizza

  1. 6

    Preheat Oven

Preheat your oven to 475°F (245°C).

  2. 7

    Shape the Dough

Once the dough has risen, punch it down and divide it into two equal portions. Roll out each portion on a floured surface into a small circle, about 8 inches in diameter.

  3. 8

    Add Sauce

Spread 1/2 cup of pizza sauce evenly over each mini pizza base.

  4. 9

    Add Cheese and Toppings

Sprinkle 1/2 cup of shredded mozzarella cheese over each pizza. Top with pepperoni slices and a sprinkle of dried oregano. Add crushed red pepper flakes to taste.

  5. 10

    Bake the Pizzas

Place the pizzas on a baking sheet and bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the crust is golden and the cheese is bubbly.

  6. 11

    Serve

Remove the pizzas from the oven, let them cool for a minute, then slice and serve hot.
