Preparation
- 1
Chill the Glass
Begin by chilling a champagne flute in the refrigerator or by filling it with ice water for a few minutes. This will keep your cocktail nice and cold.
- 2
Add the Liqueur
Once the glass is chilled, empty the ice water (if you used that method) and pour 1 oz of the black raspberry liqueur into the bottom of the champagne flute.
- 3
Top with Champagne
Slowly pour 4 oz of California Champagne over the liqueur to create a layered effect. Pour gently down the side of the glass to prevent the liqueur from mixing too quickly with the Champagne.
- 4
Garnish and Serve
Finally, garnish your Kir Royale with a fresh blackberry placed on the rim of the glass or gently floated on top of the drink. Serve immediately and enjoy!
