Waffle Batter

Method

Prepare the Waffle Batter

  1. 1

    Mix Dry Ingredients

In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking powder, sugar, and salt until well combined.

  2. 2

    Combine Wet Ingredients

In another bowl, whisk together the milk, eggs, melted butter, and vanilla extract until smooth.

  3. 3

    Combine Both Mixtures

Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir gently until just combined. Be careful not to overmix; a few lumps are okay.

Cook the Waffles

  1. 4

    Preheat Waffle Iron

Preheat your waffle iron according to the manufacturer's instructions. Lightly grease it with cooking spray or a little melted butter.

  2. 5

    Cook the Waffles

Pour an appropriate amount of batter onto the center of the preheated waffle iron (usually about 1/2 to 3/4 cup, depending on the size of your iron). Close the lid and cook until the waffles are golden brown and crispy, about 5-7 minutes.

  3. 6

    Repeat

Carefully remove the cooked waffle and repeat the process with the remaining batter.

Serve the Waffles

  1. 7

    Add Toppings

Place the cooked waffles on plates and top each with butter, sliced strawberries, blueberries, and banana.

  2. 8

    Drizzle Syrup

Drizzle maple syrup over the waffles to taste.

  3. 9

    Enjoy

Serve immediately while warm and enjoy your delicious Belgian fruit waffles!
