For the Jerk Turkey Burger

For the Mango Chutney Slaw

Method

For the Jerk Turkey Burger

1

Prepare the Turkey Mixture

In a large bowl, combine ground turkey, jerk seasoning, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper. Mix until just combined, being careful not to overwork the meat.

2

Form the Patties

Divide the mixture into 4 equal portions and shape each portion into a patty.

3

Cook the Patties

Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Cook the patties for about 5-6 minutes on each side, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).

4

Toast the Buns

While the patties are cooking, toast the burger buns in a separate pan or toaster until golden brown.

For the Mango Chutney Slaw

5

Combine the Slaw Ingredients

In a large bowl, mix together shredded cabbage, grated carrot, mango chutney, rice vinegar, olive oil, salt, and pepper until well combined.

6

Chill the Slaw

Let the slaw sit for about 10-15 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.

Assembly

7

Assemble the Burgers

Place each turkey patty on a toasted bun and top with a generous amount of mango chutney slaw. Serve immediately.
