Biscuit Preparation Instructions
- 1
Preheat the Oven
Preheat your oven to 450°F (230°C).
- 2
Combine Dry Ingredients
In a large bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, baking powder, and salt.
- 3
Cut in Butter
Add the unsalted butter (cold, cut into small pieces) to the flour mixture. Use a pastry cutter or your fingers to mix until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
- 4
Add Milk
Pour in the milk and stir until just combined. Do not overmix.
- 5
Shape the Biscuits
Turn the dough onto a floured surface and gently knead it 2-3 times. Pat or roll the dough to about 1-inch thickness. Cut out biscuits using a biscuit cutter or a glass.
- 6
Bake
Place the biscuits on a baking sheet and bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, or until golden brown.
- 7
Cool and Serve
Remove the biscuits from the oven and let them cool for a few minutes before serving. Enjoy warm!
