Pork Chop

Method

Pork Chop

  1. 1

    Prepare the Pork Chop

Take the bone-in pork chop out of the refrigerator and let it come to room temperature for about 30 minutes.

  2. 2

    Season the Pork Chop

Rub the pork chop with olive oil, then season generously with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and fresh rosemary on both sides.

  3. 3

    Cook the Pork Chop

Heat a cast-iron skillet over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the pork chop and sear for about 4-5 minutes on one side until browned.

  4. 4

    Flip and Finish Cooking

Flip the pork chop and cook for another 4-5 minutes, or until it reaches your desired internal temperature (145°F for medium rare).

  5. 5

    Rest the Pork Chop

Remove the pork chop from the skillet and let it rest for 5 minutes before serving.

Salad

  1. 6

    Prepare the Salad Ingredients

While the pork chop is cooking, wash and chop the mixed greens, slice the cherry tomatoes in half, and peel and slice the cucumber.

  2. 7

    Assemble the Salad

In a large bowl, combine the mixed greens, cherry tomatoes, and cucumber.

  3. 8

    Dress the Salad

In a small bowl, whisk together olive oil, balsamic vinegar, salt, and black pepper. Pour the dressing over the salad and toss to combine.

Serve

  1. 9

    Plate the Dish

Serve the rested pork chop alongside the salad and your choice of side dish.
