Method

Preparation of Sausages

1

Grill the Sausages

Preheat your grill to medium heat. Grill the Polish Zwyczajna, Usinger’s bratwurst, and knackwurst sausages for about 5-7 minutes on each side, or until they are cooked through and have nice grill marks. Remove from the grill and let rest for a few minutes.

Preparation of German Mashed Potatoes

2

Cook the Potatoes

Peel and dice the potatoes. Place them in a large pot of salted water and bring to a boil. Cook for 15-20 minutes, or until fork-tender.

3

Mash the Potatoes

Drain the potatoes and return them to the pot. Add butter, milk, salt, and black pepper. Mash until smooth and creamy.

Assembly

4

Serve the Wurst Platter

On a large platter, arrange the grilled sausages alongside a generous serving of German mashed potatoes and sauerkraut. Offer Bavarian mustard, Polish mustard, and Berliner-style curry ketchup on the side for dipping.
