Method
Preparation
- 1
Brew Espresso
Brew 1 cup of strong espresso coffee and allow it to cool to room temperature.
- 2
Mix Coffee Liqueur
In a shallow dish, combine the cooled espresso with 1 cup of coffee liqueur. Set aside.
- 3
Whip Heavy Cream
In a mixing bowl, whip 1 cup of heavy cream until soft peaks form. Add 1 tablespoon of granulated sugar and 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract, then continue whipping until stiff peaks form.
- 4
Combine Mascarpone
In another bowl, mix 1 cup of mascarpone cheese until smooth. Gently fold in the whipped cream until fully combined.
- 5
Dip Ladyfingers
Quickly dip each ladyfinger cookie into the espresso-coffee liqueur mixture, ensuring they are soaked but not soggy.
- 6
Layer Ingredients
In a rectangular dish, create a layer of dipped ladyfingers. Spread half of the mascarpone mixture over the ladyfingers, smoothing it out evenly.
- 7
Repeat Layers
Repeat the process by adding another layer of dipped ladyfingers followed by the remaining mascarpone mixture.
- 8
Chill
Cover the dish with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or overnight for best results.
- 9
Serve
Before serving, dust the top of the tiramisu with cocoa powder to finish. Slice and enjoy!
