Melt Chocolate and Butter
In a microwave-safe bowl, combine the bittersweet chocolate and unsalted butter. Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring in between, until completely melted and smooth. Let it cool slightly.

Mix Dry Ingredients
In a separate bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, granulated sugar, and salt until combined.

Combine Mixtures
Add the melted chocolate mixture to the dry ingredients and mix until fully incorporated.

Add Eggs and Vanilla
Add the large eggs, egg yolk, and vanilla extract to the batter. Mix until the batter is smooth and well combined.
Baking

Fill Ramekins
Pour the batter evenly into the prepared ramekins, filling them about 3/4 full.

Bake the Cakes
Place the ramekins on a baking sheet and bake in the preheated oven for 12-14 minutes. The edges should be firm while the center remains soft.

Remove the cakes from the oven and let them cool for 1-2 minutes before inverting onto plates.

Carefully invert each ramekin onto a plate, allowing the molten center to flow out. Serve immediately with a scoop of vanilla ice cream on the side.
