Burger Toppings

Method

Preparing the Burger Patty

  1. 1

    Mix Ingredients

In a mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Mix gently until just combined to avoid overworking the meat.

  2. 2

    Form Patties

Divide the mixture into two equal portions and shape each portion into a patty, about ¾ inch thick. Make a slight indentation in the center of each patty to help them cook evenly.

Cooking the Burger

  1. 3

    Preheat Grill or Pan

Preheat your grill or a skillet over medium-high heat. If using a skillet, add a small amount of oil to prevent sticking.

  2. 4

    Cook Patties

Place the patties on the grill or skillet. Cook for about 4-5 minutes on one side, then flip and cook for an additional 3-4 minutes for medium doneness, or until your desired doneness is reached.

  3. 5

    Rest the Patties

Remove the patties from the heat and let them rest for a few minutes while you prepare the toppings.

Preparing the Toppings

  1. 6

    Chop Vegetables

While the patties are resting, wash and prepare the toppings. Slice the tomato and onion into rings, and rinse the lettuce leaves.

Assembling the Burger

  1. 7

    Assemble the Burger

On the bottom half of each burger bun, place a lettuce leaf, followed by a cooked beef patty, a slice of tomato, and a few rings of onion. Top with the other half of the bun.

  2. 8

    Serve

Serve the Canyon Burgers immediately with your favorite side dishes.
