Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Ingredients

Gather all the ingredients needed for the dish.

  2. 2

    Poach the Eggs

In a medium saucepan, bring water to a simmer. Add the white vinegar. Crack eggs into small bowls and gently slide them into the simmering water. Poach for about 3-4 minutes until the whites are set but the yolks remain runny. Remove with a slotted spoon and set on a plate.

  3. 3

    Toast the English Muffins

While the eggs are poaching, split the English muffins in half and toast them until golden brown.

  4. 4

    Cook the Canadian Bacon

In a skillet, melt the unsalted butter over medium heat. Add the Canadian bacon slices and cook for about 2-3 minutes on each side until they are nicely browned.

  5. 5

    Assemble the Benedict

On each toasted English muffin half, place a slice of Canadian bacon. Carefully place a poached egg on top of the bacon. Season with salt and black pepper.

  6. 6

    Garnish and Serve

Chop the fresh chives and sprinkle them over the top of the eggs. Serve immediately and enjoy your Le Benedict!
