Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Marinade

In a large bowl, combine soy sauce, brown sugar, minced garlic, grated ginger, rice vinegar, and sesame oil. Whisk until the sugar is dissolved.

  2. 2

    Marinate the Ribs

Add the pork short ribs to the marinade, ensuring they are fully submerged. Cover and refrigerate for at least 3 hours, preferably overnight for maximum flavor.

  3. 3

    Preheat the Oven

Preheat your oven to 300°F (150°C).

  4. 4

    Prepare for Baking

Remove the ribs from the marinade and place them in a baking dish. Reserve the marinade for later use.

  5. 5

    Bake the Ribs

Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil and bake in the preheated oven for 2.5 to 3 hours, or until the ribs are tender.

  6. 6

    Glaze the Ribs

In a saucepan, bring the reserved marinade to a boil over medium heat. Reduce the heat and let it simmer for 10-15 minutes until it thickens slightly.

  7. 7

    Finish in the Oven

Once the ribs are tender, remove the foil and brush the thickened glaze over the ribs. Return to the oven and bake uncovered for an additional 15-20 minutes, until the glaze is sticky and caramelized.

  8. 8

    Garnish and Serve

Remove the ribs from the oven, sprinkle with chopped green onions and toasted sesame seeds. Serve warm.
