Crispy Broccolini

Honey Walnut Fig Crostini

Method

Crispy Broccolini

  1. 1

    Prepare Broccolini

Rinse the broccolini under cold water and trim the ends. Pat dry with a paper towel.

  2. 2

    Season

In a large bowl, combine the broccolini, olive oil, salt, pepper, and garlic powder. Toss until the broccolini is evenly coated.

  3. 3

    Roast

Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). Spread the seasoned broccolini on a baking sheet in a single layer. Roast in the oven for 15-20 minutes, or until crispy and slightly charred.

  4. 4

    Add Parmesan

Remove the baking sheet from the oven and sprinkle the Parmesan cheese over the broccolini. Return to the oven for an additional 5 minutes, or until the cheese has melted.

Honey Walnut Fig Crostini

  1. 5

    Prepare Baguette

Slice the baguette into 1/2-inch thick slices and place them on a baking sheet.

  2. 6

    Toast

Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Brush the baguette slices with olive oil and toast in the oven for about 10 minutes, or until golden brown.

  3. 7

    Prepare Topping

In a small bowl, mix together the cream cheese and honey until smooth. Spread the cream cheese mixture onto each toasted baguette slice.

  4. 8

    Add Toppings

Top each crostini with a spoonful of fig preserves and sprinkle with chopped walnuts. Add fresh thyme on top if desired.
