Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Brussels Sprouts

Trim the ends of the Brussels sprouts and remove any yellow or damaged leaves. Cut each sprout in half lengthwise.

  2. 2

    Chop the Shallots

Peel and finely chop the shallots.

Cooking

  1. 3

    Roast the Brussels Sprouts

Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Place the halved Brussels sprouts on a baking sheet and drizzle with olive oil, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and paprika. Toss to coat evenly.

  2. 4

    Add Shallots

Scatter the chopped shallots over the Brussels sprouts on the baking sheet.

  3. 5

    Bake

Roast in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the sprouts are golden brown and tender. Stir halfway through cooking.

  4. 6

    Prepare Spiced-Honey Butter

In a small saucepan, melt the unsalted butter over low heat. Once melted, add the honey and stir until combined. Remove from heat and add a pinch of salt and a dash of black pepper.

  5. 7

    Combine

Once the Brussels sprouts are roasted, remove them from the oven and drizzle the spiced-honey butter over them. Add the cured matonella, crumbling it over the top.

Serving

  1. 8

    Plate and Serve

Transfer the roasted Brussels sprouts to a serving dish and serve warm. Enjoy your savory and sweet roasted Brussels sprouts!
