Pasta Preparation

Cook the Capellini
Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the capellini pasta and cook according to package instructions until al dente, usually 2-3 minutes. Drain and set aside.

Sauté Aromatics
In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the minced shallots and sauté until translucent, about 2-3 minutes. Then add the minced garlic and sauté for an additional minute until fragrant.

Add Tomato Puree
Stir in the tomato puree and bring to a simmer. Cook for about 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Incorporate Cream and Seasoning
Lower the heat and gradually stir in the heavy cream. Add the chopped basil, red pepper flakes, salt, and black pepper. Simmer for another 5 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly.

Add Seafood
Gently fold in the lump crab meat and shrimp into the sauce. Allow to cook for 3-4 minutes, or until the shrimp turn pink and are cooked through.
Assembly

Combine Pasta and Sauce
Add the cooked capellini pasta into the skillet with the crab-rosa sauce. Toss gently to coat the pasta evenly with the sauce.

Plate the pasta and garnish with chopped parsley and grated Parmesan cheese. Serve immediately.
