Preparation
- 1
Trim the Green Beans
Rinse the fresh green beans under cold water. Trim the ends of the green beans by snapping them off or cutting them with a knife.
- 2
Prepare the Almonds
In a dry skillet over medium heat, add the sliced almonds. Toast the almonds for about 3-5 minutes, stirring frequently until they are golden brown and fragrant. Remove from heat and set aside.

Blanch the Green Beans
Fill a large pot with water and bring it to a boil. Add the trimmed green beans and blanch them for about 3-4 minutes until they are bright green and tender-crisp. Drain and immediately plunge the beans into a bowl of ice water to stop the cooking process. Once cooled, drain again and set aside.
- 4
Sauté the Garlic
In a large skillet, melt the unsalted butter over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant, being careful not to brown it.
