Method
Cook Pasta
- 1
Boil Water
In a large pot, bring water to a boil. Add 1 tablespoon of salt to the boiling water.
- 2
Cook Spaghetti
Add 200 grams of spaghetti to the boiling water. Cook according to package instructions until al dente, usually about 8-10 minutes.
- 3
Drain Pasta
Once cooked, drain the spaghetti and set aside, reserving a little pasta water.
Make Sauce
- 4
Heat Olive Oil
In a large skillet, heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil over medium heat.
- 5
Sauté Garlic
Add 3 minced garlic cloves to the skillet and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant, being careful not to burn.
- 6
Add Tomatoes
Stir in 400 grams of crushed tomatoes, 1 teaspoon of dried oregano, 1 teaspoon of dried basil, 0.5 teaspoon of salt, and 0.25 teaspoon of black pepper. Let it simmer for 10 minutes.
