Method
Prepare the French Toast
- 1
Make the batter
In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs, heavy cream, milk, granulated sugar, vanilla extract, Grand Marnier, ground cinnamon, and a pinch of salt until well combined.
- 2
Dip the bread
Preheat a non-stick skillet or griddle over medium heat. Dip each slice of French Brioche bread into the batter, ensuring both sides are coated. Allow excess batter to drip off.
- 3
Cook the toast
Place the dipped brioche slices onto the preheated skillet. Cook for 3-4 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and cooked through. Keep warm in a low oven while cooking the remaining slices.
Prepare the Maple-Butter Syrup
- 4
Melt the butter
In a small saucepan over medium-low heat, melt the unsalted butter. Add the pure maple syrup and stir until combined and warmed through.
Serve the Dish
- 5
Plate the French Toast
On a serving plate, stack the cooked French toast slices. Drizzle generously with the maple-butter syrup.
- 6
Add toppings
Top with a dollop of whipped cream and sprinkle fresh berries over the top. Serve immediately.
