Preparation
- 1
Chill the Glass
Begin by placing a rocks glass in the freezer or fill it with ice water to chill while you prepare the cocktail.
- 2
Combine Ingredients
In a mixing glass, add 2 ounces of Knob Creek Rye, 1 ounce of Campari, and 1 ounce of Sweet Vermouth.
- 3
Add Ice
Fill the mixing glass with ice cubes to the top to chill the mixture effectively.
- 4
Stir
Using a bar spoon, stir the mixture for about 30 seconds until well chilled and diluted.
- 5
Strain
Remove the ice from the chilled rocks glass and strain the cocktail mixture into the glass using a fine mesh strainer.
- 6
Garnish
Twist a piece of orange peel over the cocktail to release its oils and then drop it into the drink. Add a maraschino cherry for garnish.
