Pesto Preparation
1. Make the Basil Pesto
In a food processor, combine fresh basil, Parmesan cheese, pine nuts, garlic, salt, and black pepper. Pulse until finely chopped. With the processor running, slowly add olive oil until the mixture is smooth and creamy. Set aside.

Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Slice the French bread into 1-inch thick pieces and place them on a baking sheet.
3. Toast the Bread
Toast the bread in the preheated oven for about 5-7 minutes, or until lightly golden.
4. Sauté the Mushrooms and Shrimp
In a skillet over medium heat, add a drizzle of olive oil and sauté the sliced Hamakua mushrooms until tender. Add the jumbo shrimp and cook until they turn pink and are cooked through. Season with salt and pepper.
5. Assemble the Milolii
Spread a generous amount of basil pesto on each piece of toasted French bread. Top with a layer of crab meat, sautéed shrimp, mushrooms, and shredded cheese.
6. Melt the Cheese
Return the assembled bread to the oven and bake for an additional 5-10 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
