Preparation Steps
- 1
Prepare the Garlic Butter
In a small saucepan, melt the unsalted butter over low heat. Add minced garlic, salt, and black pepper. Cook for 2-3 minutes until fragrant, then remove from heat.
- 2
Prepare the Cream Cheese Filling
In a bowl, mix the cream cheese with chopped fresh parsley, zest of half a lemon, and a pinch of salt. Set aside.
- 3
Prepare the Bread
Slice the French bread in half lengthwise, creating a pocket without cutting all the way through. Generously spread the cream cheese mixture inside the bread.
- 4
Bake the Bread
Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Place the bread halves on a baking sheet and brush the garlic butter mixture over the top and inside the bread. Bake for 15-20 minutes until golden brown.

Serve
Remove from the oven, squeeze fresh lemon juice over the top, and let cool slightly before slicing. Serve warm.
