Cooking Instructions
- 1
Prepare the Meatballs
In a large bowl, combine ground pork, ground beef, bread crumbs, grated parmesan cheese, minced garlic, chopped onion, egg, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.
- 2
Form the Meatballs
Shape the mixture into meatballs, approximately 1 inch in diameter. Place them on a baking sheet.
- 3
Cook the Meatballs
Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the meatballs and cook until browned on all sides and cooked through, about 10-12 minutes. Remove and set aside.
- 4
Make the Marinara Sauce
In the same skillet, add canned crushed tomatoes, basil, oregano, salt, and pepper. Simmer for about 15 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- 5
Cook the Spaghetti
While the sauce simmers, cook spaghetti according to package instructions in a large pot of salted boiling water. Drain when al dente.
- 6
Combine and Serve
Add the meatballs to the marinara sauce and stir to coat. Serve over spaghetti and top with additional grated parmesan cheese.
