Bread Pudding Waffle

Method

Preparation Instructions

1

Prepare the Bread Pudding Mixture

In a large bowl, tear the stale bread into small pieces. In a separate bowl, whisk together the milk, heavy cream, eggs, sugar, vanilla extract, cinnamon, and salt until well combined. Pour the mixture over the bread pieces and let it soak for about 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.

2

Make the Candied Pecans

In a skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add the pecans and sugar, stirring to coat. Cook for about 5-7 minutes until the pecans are toasted and caramelized. Remove from heat and let cool.

3

Preheat the Waffle Iron

Preheat your waffle iron according to the manufacturer’s instructions.

4

Cook the Bread Pudding Waffles

Once the waffle iron is ready, pour a generous amount of the soaked bread pudding mixture into the iron, close the lid, and cook until golden brown and crispy, about 5-7 minutes.

5

Assemble and Serve

Serve the warm bread pudding waffles topped with candied pecans, a dollop of whipped cream, a scoop of vanilla ice cream, and drizzle with butterscotch sauce.
